Dragon Costume

My halloween costume, created 100% by me!

And it was constructed entirely with hot glue! The stuff is magic!

The horns were made using super sculpey.

Update a zillion years later: This fell apart as I wore it (hint: don't use hot glue) but it was generally easy to make. I bought a black latex suit (sort of a bad idea due to the stretch,) a pair of black gloves, and a bunch of orange fleece (why fleece I have no idea.) To make the wings i used wooden dowels. I simply wrapped the dowels in black fabric and attached them to the pointer and pinky fingers of the gloves. This was tricky considering i used glue and the dowels were heavy for the individual fingers. I'd recommend fusing the pointer and middle fingers as well as the ring and pinky fingers for more support. Also, SEW IT. Do not glue it- you'll suffer and die. Use tough string like upholstery string. If you want more flex maybe use some sort of plastic or foam instead of wooden dowels... though idk what would be a good replacement. BUT- i really do believe my design was pretty ingenious considering I had no previous costume design experience. The wings are dexterous and look legitimate due to the fact that they're attached to your fingers. If you make it in some way please send me a picture! I'd love to see what this inspires.
